P, being gorgeous geek boy was actually standing in a queue at 12 midnight on Thursday night to be one of the very first owners of the new Sony Playstation. By the time he got back from the store it was 3am, then of course he had to spend another another hour assembling the thing so that he could make sure his new toy was fully functioning before he could get to bed! It costs close to £500 once you buy the extra gadgets such as a remote control and also some software to put on it. But P says this is still cheaper than buying a stand-alone blue-ray player.
I had a look at it last night and it does seem quite impressive. The graphics are really amazing. We even tried watching a normal DVD by using it, and the blue ray capability actually improved the picture, even though we have a standard TV. Oh, yes, which reminds me - next thing on P's list is 46 inch Sony Bravia TV. Apparently John Lewis is out of stock at the moment, but this is next on P's list.... has someone just had their bonus paid I wonder??
Tickets for Elvis Costello at Tower of London went on sale yesterday. Incredibly unlike me, but I have actually been organised enough to get a group of us to go on July 7. Its a long-way off, but I am looking forward to it already.
